Baby Blues Prevail, 5-3, Over Valley View

With third baseman Steve Turner leading the charge, the Quebec City Baby Blues defeated the Valley View Cougars, 5-3, at Dylan Park. Turner, who is tied for 10th in the SR in extra base hits with 39, was 2-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Quebec City reliever De'Coldest Crawford was the winner. His record is now 8-2. The losing pitcher was Jesús Ríos. Henny Moree, credited with the save, is now 1 for 3 in save opportunities.
Turner contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Quebec City in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Turner took a knuckle curve from Jesús Ríos and stroked the triple to right. His 7th triple of the season allowed the Baby Blues to leap in front, 3-2.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Turner.
The win puts the Baby Blues at 47-42, while the Cougars drop to 50-39.
