With left fielder Juan Sapinoso leading the charge, the Maine Sea Dogs defeated the Bompton Baby Lakers, 5-3, at Field of the Browns. Sapinoso was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Maine reliever Tom Young picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Noah Birkbeck was saddled with the loss. Maine, now 9-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Sapinoso delivered big-time for Maine, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Noah Birkbeck. The game-changing hit put the Sea Dogs on top, 4-3.
