The Bompton Baby Lakers defeated the Maine Sea Dogs, 5-3. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Juan Sapinoso, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The defending champion Baby Lakers have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 7-7 with the win.
Bompton took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Tim Rowland stroked a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Baby Lakers.
"This was a good win," said Rowland.
