Outlaws Lose to Northern Lions BC, 6-3
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC beat the Nashville Outlaws, 6-3, at Great Northern Field. The Northern Lions BC got a fine performance from third baseman Charles Josse, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jean-Marie Beck was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Miguel Rodríguez closed the door for Thunder Bay, picking up his 5th save of the year.
Sébastien Cornu, who finished 5th in the SL in wins above replacement with 4.1 in 2037, chipped in for Thunder Bay with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
