The Warheads grabbed a win, 5-3, at ďAbbots Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Surprise pitcher Jim Murray. Murray went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The 9th-place Warheads have won 5 in a row.
Mario Roldán's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a slider from Mark Adams for a 2-run single. It put Amarillo in front, 5-3.
