Mylawn Hits 2 home runs in Warheads Win
The Amarillo Warheads beat the Surprise Shockers, 9-4, at ďAbbots Ballpark. The Warheads got a fine performance from right fielder Getoff Mylawn, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Jack Geake earned the save for Amarillo, his 1st of the year. The 9th-place Warheads now have a 4-game winning streak.

In the top of the first, Mylawn pounced on a 2-1 fastball from Don Williams and hit a 3-run home run. It put Amarillo on top, 3-0.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Mylawn told the Amarillo Observer. "It's as simple as that."
