Cougars Need Extra Frames to Get Past Warheads
Valley View Cougars starter Foeke Reus was in fine form against the Amarillo Warheads at Ballpark of Henderson, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Valley View reliever Ray Armstrong was credited with the win, to go to 5-6. Rey Counsell took the loss for Amarillo. Guillermo Quiñones notched his 3rd save in 6 chances.

Valley View used the timely hitting of Taylor Culshaw to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cougars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Culshaw told a Valley View Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
