Rams Walk Off with Win
|
The Ladue Rams had to overcome a big game from Franklin second baseman Trevor Smith to leave Ballpark of Wellsville with a 5-4 victory. Smith went 4-4 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. With the win, the Rams improved to 41-37.
Late in the game, third baseman Cristo López had a big at-bat for Ladue. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Jeffrey Eckert. The play gave the Rams a 5-4 lead.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Dave Parrish.
