Ron Jackson had a big hand in Ellesmere Island's 10-4 triumph over Quebec City. He rattled off 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scoring 2 times and knocking in 3 runs. For his performance, Jackson was named player of the game. The 8th-place Snowpeople raised their record to 30-40.

Jackson contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Ellesmere Island in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Jackson took a cutter from De'Coldest Crawford and stroked the double to center. His 11th double of the season allowed the Snowpeople to leap in front, 5-4.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Jackson told a Ellesmere Island Today reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
