Cattlemen Stumble, Lose to Flamingos

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Adrián Gómez, the Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 8-2. Gómez was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Flamingos. Las Vegas currently is in 5th place in the Silver League at 18-17.
Lewis N. Clark, who is on pace to hit 28 home runs this season, aided the Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times.
"We'll savor this win," Gómez told the Las Vegas Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
