The Franklin Fire got a superb performance from pitcher Will Bass. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Quebec City. The Baby Blues won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Bass was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings allowing 4 runs. Esteban Arroyo, credited with the save, is now 7 for 7 in save opportunities. The Baby Blues move to 37-28 with the win, while the Fire drop to 38-27.

Steve Turner put Quebec City in front, 4-0, when he took Will Bass downtown. His solo home run came with two out in the bottom of the seventh. It was his 9th home run of the season.

"We did a lot of things right," said Turner.
