The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople picked up a win at The Igloo, knocking off the Surprise Shockers, 4-2. On the mound for Ellesmere Island was left-hander Ikaia Duncalf, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ellesmere Island is now 23-30, Surprise 23-30.

The Shockers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Snowpeople going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old first baseman Joel Fagliano came to the plate. Fagliano hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 changeup from Surprise hurler Jim Murray. It was Fagliano's 23rd double of the year.
