Baby Blues Prevail, 5-3, Over Surprise
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Scott Beavis, the Quebec City Baby Blues defeated the Surprise Shockers, 5-3. Beavis went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Baby Blues. The win was De'Coldest Crawford's in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Jim Murray took the loss for Surprise. Quebec City has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Quebec City used the timely hitting of Brian Dyball to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Baby Blues on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Quebec City manager Kyle Myers.
