Franklin got a terrific performance from pitcher Carlos Santos, but it wasn't enough to beat the Quebec City Baby Blues. Quebec City won the Lawmen Ballpark contest, 5-2. Santos was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. With the win, Quebec City has a record of 25-17. Franklin falls to 26-16.

Quebec City used the timely hitting of Qing-lai Mak to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Baby Blues ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Mak.
