Loss Extends Capital Hill Losing Streak
|
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Asko Huhtamo, the Capital Hill Interns suffered a 3-2 loss to the Quebec City Baby Blues. Huhtamo was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. The Interns, at 13-20, have lost 7 in a row.
Had Kalino Iolana not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Iolana hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Baby Blues.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Iolana told the Quebec City Gazette.
