Cougars Solve Shockers, 3-2

The Valley View Cougars did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Surprise Shockers at Hillandale Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Dave Davis, who captured player of the game honors. Valley View has now won 4 games in a row.
Valley View grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Brian Thomas delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Cougars.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Davis, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
