Flanderses Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
Pancho Achio left his imprint on the 5-3 Hudsonville win against the Quebec City Baby Blues. Achio, who is tied for 7th in the SR with a .416 on-base percentage, was 2-2 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Carlson Foolscrow got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Baby Blues to 1 earned run on 5 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 3. The Flanderses raised their record to 15-8.

The Baby Blues had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Flanderses going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old left fielder Bartolo Ayala came to the plate. Ayala hit a run-scoring single on a 1-0 curveball from Quebec City hurler Norm Wells. It was Ayala's 28th hit of the year.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Achio told the Hudsonville Gazette.
