Valley View rode a good effort from starter Dave Davis to beat the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo. The final score was 2-1. Valley View is now 13-9. Ellesmere Island is 10-12.
It could have been a different outcome for Valley View, had it not been for Chandler Schroeder, the 19-year old left fielder . Schroeder contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Valley View up, 2-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Davis. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
