Flanderses Slip Past Quebec City, 4-3
The Hudsonville Flanderses took Quebec City pitcher Ronald Fritz's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Hudsonville Park. The final score had Hudsonville getting past the Baby Blues, 4-3. Fritz went 6 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 2. Hudsonville reliever Ricardo Rodríguez picked up the win to move to 1-2. Arlen Mata suffered the loss. The first-place Flanderses raised their record to 14-8.

Yosuke Konishi was 1 for 3 for Hudsonville. The 21-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Calvin Blackburn. It was his 21st RBI of the season.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Hudsonville manager Rickey Jones.
