Big Game from Kashani Not Enough, Dirty Reds Lose
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 10-7. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Zahid Kashani, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Thunder Bay reliever Jason Huggins was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Travis Morgan took the loss for San Mateo. Picking up the save was Marnix van Rijn, his 1st.

Thunder Bay relied on the hitting of Keaton Kringlen to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 6-4. For the game, Kringlen had 1 home run and 3 singles in 6 at-bats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Thunder Bay skipper Scott Williams.

Thunder Bay, at 13-18, occupies 8th place in the Silver League.
