Konishi Helps Flanderses Run Win Streak to 3
The umbrellas came out during the Hudsonville-Valley View contest at Hillandale Grounds.

A 6-RBI performance from shortstop Yosuke Konishi, who is tied for 10th in the SR with a .500 slugging percentage, led the Hudsonville Flanderses to a 11-4 win over the Valley View Cougars. Lance Simmons, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held the Cougars to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Eitoku Tanaka picked up the save for Hudsonville, his 2nd of the year.

Konishi had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run triple. The Flanderses went on to win.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Konishi told the Hudsonville Gazette.

It was the 12th win in 19 games this year for the defending champion Flanderses, who are picking up where they left off.
