Victory Over Fire Takes Quebec City to 11-6
|
The Quebec City Baby Blues got a stellar performance from pitcher Ronald Fritz, who handcuffed the Franklin offense en route to a 4-0 win at Dylan Park. Arlen Mata recorded his 1st save for Quebec City. The Baby Blues, now 11-6, have been playing some good baseball.
The Baby Blues used some clutch hitting to beat the Fire, a good example being the at-bat of Scott Beavis in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, Beavis gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he hit a 2-run single.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Mark Davis.
