Teune, Amarillo Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
The Amarillo Warheads topped the Franklin Fire, 1-0, in USSL Rookie action at Lawmen Ballpark. The player of the game was Amarillo pitcher and Willemstad, Curaçao native Bobby Teune. Alfredo Flores sewed up the save, his 1st. Amarillo is off to a hot start at 2-1.

The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Teune. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Warheads. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Fire, striking out 8 and scattering 7 hits over 8 innings. Teune is now 1-0 on the season.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Teune.
