The Franklin Fire topped the Amarillo Warheads, 8-6, in USSL Rookie action at Lawmen Ballpark. The player of the game was Franklin first baseman Christopher Tracy. Franklin reliever Kwan-yew Khu picked up the win to move to 1-0. Noah Keyte suffered the loss. With the win, Franklin pushes its record to 1-1.

Franklin took a 8-6 lead on Will Blalock's 3rd hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Blalock hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Amarillo pitcher Noah Keyte shaking his head.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Fire manager Mark Davis. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
