It was a good time at The Zoo, where fans came to watch the Tulsa Otters and Redwood Rhinos get after it.

Redwood beat Tulsa on the strength of starter Xin-fang Zha's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 8-1 win. Zha picked up the win for Redwood, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 7-6.

With runs few and far between, the Rhinos had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Redwood came in the bottom of the first inning, when third baseman Luis Ibáñez delivered a 2-run single. The single was hit off Bob Burke and made the score 2-0, Rhinos. Ibáñez was 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Zha.

The 9th-place Rhinos lifted their record to 38-58.
