Ducks Slip Past Crowley, 4-3

The Long Island Ducks picked up a win at Titans Ballpark, knocking off the Crowley Cajuns, 4-3. Starting pitcher Takayuki Shimizu was an essential part of his team's success. Everton Stirzacre finished the game for Long Island and earned his 2nd save. The 5th-place Ducks improved to 49-41.
The result might have been different for Long Island, had it not been for Kyle Michaud, the 21-year old shortstop . Michaud stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Long Island up, 4-3. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Shimizu.
