Rhinos Clip Lead Sox in Tight Contest

The Rhinos had to overcome a fine performance from Indiana pitcher Darwin McGinnity to grab a 3-1 win at The Lead Mine. McGinnity allowed no earned runs over 5 innings. Today's win puts Redwood at 33-51, while Indiana falls to 41-43.
Redwood used the timely hitting of Carlos Viera to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rhinos on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Viera.
