Biscuits Win at Hicksville, 5-1
|
Montgomery starter Orinosuke Oshiro pitched effectively against the Hicksville Hounds at Hound Pound. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. Even with the win, the Biscuits have a dismal 27-55 record.
It could have been a different outcome for Montgomery, had it not been for António Hernández, the 18-year old third baseman . Hernández contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Montgomery up, 3-1.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Biscuits manager Júlio Aguirre. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
