Centennial Clip Music in Tight Contest
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Fort Knox Centennial and the Memphis Music, Jack Forrest was the difference-maker. The Fort Knox right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 win. The Centennial go to 44-35, putting them third in the Premier R.
Fort Knox took a 3-1 lead on Manny Opio's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Memphis pitcher Ernie Landry in the bottom of the eighth.
Opio said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
