The Redwood Rhinos got a stellar performance from pitcher Gael Rabbetts, who handcuffed the Hicksville offense en route to a 4-1 win at Hound Pound. Rabbetts, now 4-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Redwood is now 29-47. Hicksville is 33-43.

Redwood used the timely hitting of Roy MacDonald to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Rhinos on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I like what I saw today," said Redwood manager Frank Bass, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
