Otters Need Extras to Top Rhinos
|
The Tulsa Otters picked up a win at Ballpark of Hughesville, knocking off the Redwood Rhinos, 6-5. Starting pitcher Horace Cope, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Rusty Williams picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Tim Buck was tagged with the loss. The second-place Otters improved to 42-32.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Tulsa trailing 5-4, Andrew Gray hit a fastball from Tim Buck for a 2-run home run, giving the Otters the walk-off win.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Cope said.
