Nashville and Ft. Worth met at The Cattle Pen in front of a lively crowd.

Nashville got an elite performance from starting pitcher Jesús Cruz in taking a 7-0 decision over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Nashville, at 13-13, occupies 5th place in the Silver League.

Cruz, who dominated for Nashville, earned the victory to move to 2-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 4. Ft. Worth batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Cruz said.
