Great Day for Torres in Ducks Win
The Long Island Ducks beat the Hicksville Hounds, 8-2, at Hound Pound. The Ducks got a fine performance from third baseman Alfredo Torres, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Byung-hyun Kim got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. The second-place Ducks have won 4 straight games.
