The Hicksville Hounds picked up a win at Hound Pound, knocking off the Tulsa Otters, 2-1. Starting pitcher Bob Larsen, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Larsen, now 6-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Devin Alvarado closed the door for Hicksville, picking up his 3rd save of the year.
In the bottom of the second, Hicksville left fielder Arturo Iglésias had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Iglésias stroked a run-scoring triple to right. It made the score 2-0, Hicksville. For the game, he was 1-4 with a triple.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Larsen.
