The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Hicksville Hounds, 8-5, at Hound Pound today. Leading the charge for Montgomery was left fielder Darrell MacGregor. He went 3-5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Félix Torres picked up the save, his 1st. The last-place Biscuits improved to 13-21.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the third, with the game tied, Ricardo Ojíto was at the plate when Montgomery scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Biscuits to go in front, 3-1.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Ojíto told the Montgomery Observer. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
