Starting pitcher Jack Croucher pitched well enough to help the Long Island Ducks beat the Memphis Music by the score of 7-4. Croucher picked up the win for Long Island, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3.
Had Alfredo Torres not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Torres hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Ducks.
