|
Fort Knox Centennial starter Shan-tang Yang turned in an exceptional performance against the Tulsa Otters at Ballpark of Hughesville, resulting in a Fort Knox win, 4-2. In 8.1 innings, Yang surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Skip Walker, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
The result might have been different for Fort Knox, had it not been for Niek Breugelmans, the 19-year old right fielder . Breugelmans stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Fort Knox up, 2-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Breugelmans said.
The first-place Otters have dropped 4 straight games.
