Victory Over Biscuits Takes Crowley to 19-12
|
Crowley starter Lewis Goodman pitched effectively against the Montgomery Biscuits at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Goodman got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 8 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Goodman allowed 1 earned run. Byron Vyse earned the save for Crowley, his 9th of the year.
The result might have been different for Crowley, had it not been for Juan Jiménez. The catcher produced a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Cajuns ahead, 3-0. For the game, Jiménez had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Crowley manager Manuel Romo.
Crowley is now riding a 3-game win streak.
