Hounds Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Damarco Lyons never let Redwood get something going. The Hicksville right-hander commanded his knuckle curve in pitching the Hounds to a 4-1 win. Bob Larsen picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Gyu-hyun Chong was tagged with the loss. Hicksville is now 13-16.
Hicksville used the timely hitting of Erik Weinstein to capture the win. The center fielder socked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Hounds ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Lyons told the Hicksville Daily News.
