Great Day for Kovacs in Northern Lions BC Win
Takeshi Kovacs added some punch to the Thunder Bay offense, helping them outmuscle the Las Vegas Flamingos, 13-7. In the game, Kovacs, who is tied for 8th in the SL in RBI with 17, was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The win was Mike Hess's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Alain Arnaud took the loss for Las Vegas. Thunder Bay, at 9-13, occupies 9th place in the Silver League.

Kovacs had a game-changing single in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Júlio Rodríguez, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Northern Lions BC a 8-7 lead. It was the 24th hit of the year for Kovacs.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Kovacs.
