Biscuits Come Back Late to Clip Otters
|
The Montgomery Biscuits took Tulsa pitcher Floyd Emery's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Hughesville. The final score had Montgomery getting past the Otters, 4-2. Emery went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 5. Even with the win, the Biscuits have a dismal 8-16 record.
Montgomery used the timely hitting of Ricardo Ojíto to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Biscuits ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Ojíto told the Montgomery Observer.
