Ducks Win at Montgomery, 3-2
|
Long Island Ducks starter Jack Croucher turned in a sterling performance against the Montgomery Biscuits, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Jimmy McDonald earned the save for Long Island, his 3rd. The last-place Biscuits have dropped 6 straight games.
Robert Green was 1-4 for Long Island. In the top of the fifth, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Green delivered for the Ducks. His run-scoring ground out put Long Island on top, 2-1.
"That's baseball," said Montgomery manager Júlio Aguirre. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
