Ducks Topple Lead Sox, 7-4
|
Long Island Ducks starter Jalmari Lostedt was in fine form against the Indiana Lead Sox at Ducks Park, leading his team to a 7-4 win. Lostedt, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. With the loss, Indiana drops to 2-6.
The Lead Sox had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Ducks going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Colm Partridge came to the plate. Partridge hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch cutter from Indiana hurler Salvador Colón. It was Partridge's 2nd double of the year.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Partridge told the Long Island Daily.
