Richards Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Eugene in Walk-Off Win
The Kent Comets got a superb performance from right fielder Numberto Pencíl. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Eugene. The Vandals won the game, 10-9. In spite of the loss, Pencíl was named the player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Lang Lian, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. With the win, Eugene goes to 37-55, while the Comets fall to 52-40.

Dave Richards took Gypsyamber D'Souza deep in the bottom of the ninth. His 2-run home run put the Vandals on top, 10-9. In all, Richards had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Richards told the Eugene Today.
