Vibes Win Streak Reaches 7
|
Rocky Mountain got a first-rate effort from pitcher Jim Sousa, who frustrated Kent hitters en route to a 2-0 Vibes triumph at Bellevue Field. Sousa, now 9-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. The second-place Vibes have won 7 straight games.
Magnus Fjord put Rocky Mountain in front, 2-0, when he took Randy Ryan downtown. His solo home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
Fjord attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
