The Cut Off Crawdads got a stellar performance from pitcher Trevor Bowden, who handcuffed the Kent offense en route to a 3-0 win at Crawdads Field. Carlos Coronado notched his 11th save in 11 chances. The third-place Crawdads have won 5 straight games.

Dave Summers had a big 2-run double for the Crawdads in the bottom of the third inning. With Cut Off leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from Javier Merlo and stroked the double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crawdads ahead, 3-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Cut Off manager Michael Garrett said.
