Comets Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Vandals
|
Kent rode a fine outing from starter Leonardo Sánchez to victory over the Eugene Vandals at Fuller Park. The final score was 3-1. The win was credited to Pippino Maini in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Karel Vandemeulbroucke took the loss. Kent has now won 7 straight.
The Comets got a big at-bat from left fielder León Galiano. For the game, Galiano was 1-4. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 27th hit of the season gave Kent a 2-1 lead.
