The Buckhead Bowties got a stellar performance from pitcher Gilberto Medina, who handcuffed the San Mateo offense en route to a 6-1 win at Lang Park. With the loss, San Mateo sinks to 8-7.
Buckhead used the timely hitting of Hugh Mungus to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bowties on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
When asked about his performance after the game, Medina said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
