Puanani Leads Comets to Win
The 2041 season is getting ugly for Eugene.

Benefiting from Alohinani Puanani's productive game, the Kent Comets downed the Eugene Vandals, 8-6. Puanani went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Comets. The winner was Kent reliever Ellis Huntley, now 1-0. The loser was Eugene Bell. Gypsyamber D'Souza recorded the save for Kent, his 7th of the season.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Comets sent teenager Octávio Obezo to the plate against Vandals hurler Eugene Bell. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 1-2 fastball to score 1.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Puanani.

Kent now has a 3-game win streak.
