Vandals Lose, 6-2, at Fuller Park
The Kent Comets knocked off the Eugene Vandals, 6-2, at Fuller Park. Octávio Obezo, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Kent won. The designated hitter was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Shoichi Iwata got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Comets move to 18-25 with the win, while the Vandals drop to 13-30.

Jesús Muńíz had a big run-scoring single for the Comets in the bottom of the third inning. With Kent leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Carlos Guadarrama and stroked the single to center. It was his 10th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Comets ahead, 3-1.

"Big team win," Muńíz said later.
